Short Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can work across multiple job sites, collaborate with a wide range of team members, and maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism. Our crew consists of multiple electricians and technicians, so the ideal candidate must be adaptable, respectful, and able to work effectively with many different personalities and skill levels.
Journeyman electricians on our team play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
- Work at various job sites and adapt quickly to different project environments and crews.
- Collaborate with apprentices, foremen, and other journeymen to complete projects on schedule.
- Ensure all work meets local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and occasionally clients.
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentices when appropriate.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a professional and organized manner.
Specific Requirements & Responsibilities
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state or applicable jurisdiction).
- Valid Drivers License
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and code requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Experience working on multiple types of projects and adapting to changing environments.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between job sites if required.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bucket truck experience or experience working from aerial lifts.
- Experience in commercial, service, or industrial electrical work.
- Experience leading small crews or mentoring apprentices.
- Knowledge of low-voltage, controls, or data systems.
- OSHA safety certifications or additional trade certifications.
